This program aims to discuss headache phenomena that are rarely discussed in guidelines and classification, but are of great interest and concern for clinicians and patients. The program will be divided into a discussion of cranial autonomic symptoms, cardiovascular phenomena, migraine variants (particularly those associated with FND), and cognitive impairment. 8:00 am – 8:30 am: Cognitive Dysfunction in Migraine. What is "Brain Fog" and How Can We Sort Out Cognitive Dysfunction from Pain, Medications or Other Medical Conditions? 8:30 am – 9:00 am: Cranial Autonomic Symptoms in Headache. Nada Hindiyeh, MD, FAHS, is a board-certified neurologist and headache specialist and is currently the Director of Headache Neurology at Metrodora Institute. She was previously a Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at Stanford University where she was the Director of Headache Clinical Research. She is currently a member of the American Headache Society (AHS), is the co-chair of the AHS Electronic Media Committee, and the co-chair of the newly formed Autonomic Disorders Special Interest Section. She was chosen as an AHS Emerging Leader in 2017 and was awarded the 2013 Clinical Research Fellowship in Neurotoxins by the American Academy of Neurology She completed her medical degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine in Toledo, Ohio. Both her internship and neurology residency were completed at the University of California, Irvine, Medical Center, where she was chief resident. She completed her fellowship in Headache and Facial Pain at Stanford University.
