Valla Wilson, CIA, CRMA, CHIAP, is the Business Risk Assurance and Advisory Services Practice Leader for the Eminere Group, LLC. Eminere Group provides ERM, Internal Audit, Quality Assurance Preparation/Reviews and other Risk Consulting services. Valla currently services as the Vice Chair for the AHIA Certification Committee and was the former Chair of the Certification Item Writer Subcommittee. She has also served on the Conference planning committee in the past. Valla has over 30 years of experience in internal audit, compliance, operational and consulting leadership roles with public accounting, higher education, academic medical centers, health systems, fortune 500 and government organizations. Her previous Internal Audit experience include serving as Vice President and Chief Audit Executive for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Chief Audit, Compliance, and Privacy Officer for Duke Private Diagnostic Clinic, LLP, Internal Audit Director for Duke Medicine, Chief Compliance, Audit, and Privacy and Research Integrity Officer for Lakeland Regional Health System. Valla also was an Experienced Manager for Arthur Anderson, LLP, providing Internal Audit Co-Sourcing and Risk Consulting services. Valla has presented at various professional organization conferences and webinars such as Dallas IIA, AHIA, Florida AICPA and provided training at other institutions.
