Session Synopsis
Data analytics and continuous monitoring play a vital role in the revenue cycle by providing real time insight and proactively identify potential risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Our goal is to highlight common challenges and introduce continuous monitoring techniques to mitigate risk and improve performance through control enhancements in the revenue cycle.
Biography
Christine has over 25 years of healthcare internal audit and revenue cycle experience with acute care hospitals, academic medical centers, inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, long term care facilities and physician practices. She joined Atrium Health in March 2024 as the VP of Advisory within Audit Services. Prior to joining Atrium Health, Christine served as a director for KPMG for 11 years, leading internal audit programs for healthcare providers. Her areas of focus include conducting risk assessments and completing operational audits in such areas as research compliance, philanthropy, supply chain, vendor risk management, revenue cycle, patient throughput and length of stay management, physician compensation, quality reporting and patient experience. She is a member of the Association of Healthcare Internal Auditors and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
