    New Daily Persistent Headache

    Presentation Description

    In this presentation, we will describe the clinical features, etiology, and potential associated factors with new daily persistent headache (NDPH). We will explore the differential diagnosis and mimics of NDPH, in particular spontaneous intracranial hypotension. Finally, we will review best practices in the management and counseling with regard to prognosis of NDPH.

    Managing Migraine During Pregnancy

    Presentation Description

    This case-based presentation will focus on the importance of initiating conversations with patients on plans for conception and making a proactive plan for management of migraine during pregnancy. We will discuss patient concerns about the risk of migraine in pregnancy, review available information about the use of migraine treatments during pregnancy, and using this information to counsel the patient on the risk versus benefit of various treatment options.

    Post-Traumatic Headache

    Presentation Description

    As the body of scientific knowledge of human concussion continues to grow, clinicians are faced with treating post traumatic headache (PTH) without the benefit of approved medications or procedures/protocols. Pharmacologic and behavioral therapies are showing promise and this presentation will update the status of these using a case-based strategy. I will describe the current landscape of the study of acute and persistent post traumatic headache with emphasis on clinical evaluation and treatment.
